sea exp to man-grove!

everything started with a bright blue day.

Well, ODAC outings is basically a session where we would go exotic outdoor places to take photos of the same old self.

It's raining and isabel isn't really happy!

and 2 years back.. .at this time... 8June 2006, we were in the dunno how many star RESORT!!! with at most 3 of us to ONE ROOM with 2 single beds or king sized bed.... and now enjoying our BUFFET dinner....

we will then celebrate jiawen's bday!!! HAHAHAH and play those lame games with the matchsticks that the guides showed us .HHAHAHAHAHHA

okay reminiscing the past.. NOSTALGIC...

Yoz everyone.

Well, I've been seeing the previous entry for quite some time... bored. On top of that, I'm missing you people and the things we used to do. So I'm here to blog. Surprised? Don't fall off the chair ok! Especially you all juniors. You all still got lots of activities lined up in front of you. So can't afford to get injured or stuff like that.

Now I got new nick name from you all ah!?! "Bear-bear" -_-'l HUH?! Haha quite funny... but! don't call me "bear-bear" so often lah huh... I still like my name!

Anyway, the tag board is a bit "de-screwed". Dunno if I can try to mend it.

Saw you juniors gathering outside school for the ASO trial and navigation revision the other day... Sigh... kinda miss doing these ODAC things. So? Need to recruit helpers for ASO, tell me k!

OKOK... so you juniors must jia you, train/work hard, make the events successful. Take care of yourselves too. Drink more water...

hey odac-ians!

we will be celebrating lantern festival on monday, 9th Oct!
which is the last day of Promos!
will have dinner together, then to bishan park or around there to celebrate!

ODAC chalet : tentatively will be on 26dec to 28 dec as the chalets are fully booked on the the countdown days.
and it will be at changi aloha and not loyang.
the chalet will most probably be bayfront chalets. so we will enjoy the beach :D

The single-storey chalet is fully furbished with a living room set with TV and games table; dining room; 4 air-conditioned bedrooms furbished with beds (1 queen-sized and 6 single-sized), wardrobe, dresser, bedside table and wall fan; 3 toilets /bath with shower heater; BBQ pit and a fully equipped kitchen.

and it's $100 per night.

keeps our fingers crossed on getting the chalet :D

meanwhile, let's jiayou for promos and study hard for A's !!!

hello everybody
anyone who wish to post anything about rinjani,
your personal experience, feelings, incidents that happened... etc etc
just post it here yeah?

rinjani is a wonderful trip!
of course there are both good and bad moments but nevertheless it was fantatiscally fabulous :D it was really a good trip where we can learn from one another,know more about each other
i was really touched on summit climb,
where people hugged together for warmth whenever we stopped.
where people encouraged one another
where we pulled and pushed each other up to the summit
and finally we made it to the top.
through this trip, i've learnt how to forgive and accept others like how others have accepted me, forgave me for what i've done wrong.
thank you all for this beautiful trip. i will never forget it pls! ahahhah
P.S : i seriously miss rinjani please. can we climb it again?? WAHAHA

oh my, our blog's been so stagnant aedes mosquitoes are beginning to breed. haha.. ok, not farnie. guess everyone's been too busy with our own lives. preparing for the rinjani trip that's coming soon (so soon we are flying tmr! whee~), a few of us involved in the varous camps, and of course not forgetting, our schoolwork!

so much have happened since the last post.

20th may 2006 bukit timah has become our most frequented location for training, besides the point blocks in ang mo kio, which are like 28 stories high, mind you. but i guess after all these trainings, we would have gained enormous and ugly calves muscles (in the words of vanessa).

21st may 2006 big walk was on the next day. we've walked more than any other people during these 3 days - climbing stairs, conquering bukit timah hill and finishing the 10km walk. =)

23rd may 2006 Chingyi's birthday wasn't that great. so sorry teammate. we were supposed to meet up during our morning common break, but 05 had pe and cant be down punctually, so they postponed it to after school, but teckhao, weilong, taiyong and a few others weren't around anymore.. so sadly, the celebration wasn't quite big a thing. but we did sang the birthday song for the birthday girl loudly! thou the rest of them pangseh me for the first time. HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY, CHINGYI!!

27th may 2006 we organised a day event for the Singapore Children's Society, for which we have been raising funds through the sales of canned 100+ during every school event, be it cross-country or track&field meet. the smile on all the children's and parents' faces made the event end on a high note, even though it rained at the start. Just a few photographs which i found comical...

3rd - 9th june 2006 we will be leaving for lombok in indonesia on a jetplane to conquer the volcano!! whee~ aren't you all excited about it. for all-you-people-out-there's information, gunung rinjani, where we all [except for a few pitiful ones :( ] will be going, isn't the volcano that's been in the news lately. that's mount merapi, which experts say are going to explode anytime after the recent earthquake. anyway, back to our trip. we'll be taking the flight tmr morning at 545am at terminal 2. anyone care to send us off? haha.. shall update you all with the spectacular photographs when we return! wish us bon voyage! :)

hey people.. just to help publicise and share information, quite a few adventure races, organised by the various universities, will be held in the 2nd half of the year, june onwards, i suppose.

being a enthu and on ODACian, what are you waiting for? form teams and bring glory to AJ ODAC! :) of course, the races are not exclusive to ODACians only, anyone can join, just meet the criteria, and off you are, running, climbing, cycling, kayaking your way into the competitions.

Its about time we showed all of you the pictures of you. (: Sorry JC2s, we can only remain jealous cause no one bothered to take our pictures last time. Maybe thats why we hog the camera so often now being the deprived people that we are. (:

The rain is ever so often now and our plans for this exciting even (lets just call it Plan X) has been called off for the third/forth time. So this was pioneering follow-up activity held on Monday :

track and field meet heats was on today!! 20 teams signed up for the inter cca race.. i think. since we had 2 8-lane-filled heats and another half-filled heat.

aniwae, here's the result:
HEATS 1: ODAC Team 1 came in 3rd!!
HEATS 2: ODAC Team 2 came in 1st!!

yayy! since only the fastest 8 teams will qualify for the finals, praying real hard that both our teams will get in!! kudos to both teams and all the supporters!! Plus i think we brought the PE Dept with our loud 'ODAC WHOOSH!', haha!!

AJ Challenge Day!

Hello everyone! selections are over, and this is the start of a new age for AJ ODAC!

Congrats everyone who made it so far, we extend a warm welcome to all of you. As for those who didn't get selected, we are extremely sad and can honestly tell you that we had a very hard time during the selection process. The selections are like Going to School. Hated, but neccesary.

Wooo! Jems and Clams brings yoouuuu, AJ CHALLENGE!! It's going to be fast, furious, physically and mentally demanding, and most important, a learning journey. The games are most original I guess, but I can't tell you what they are just yet =P cuz maybe got people like me who log on during breaks and blog here.. muahahaz!

Actually I'm quite jealous of the J1s lei.. Why didn't I have so many games when I was J1??!! must be because our seniors slacked! nahh just kidding la.. haha.. fun and laughter, peace and joy, these can be derived not only from games, but also from normal activities such as when learning the hard skills. The seniors are happy to see you having fun during team building games, but we will be most happy and comforted to see you enjoying yourselves during the less exciting activities!

Ahh me noticed many many of these ppl asking for an update on our overseas expedition! So im now here to.... make everyone wait longer! =DD

the OE was a great opportunity to bond and we knew each other soo much better! as if we didnt know each other enough yeah? =p jems here along wif everyone else had a serious lack of slp.. (look at my eye bags) we shall get a Reporter to post on the trip ya? and i cant wait for the pics to be uploaded!

ohh and thanx Myra Chiobu, Vansy and Hazy Baybeh for letting us go ur houses! not forgetting Taiyong who let us in although we didnt tell u.. wahahahz! it was a surprise after all, ya?

we had a superb bbq at myra's house on wednesday, which is the day after returning to civilisation! the best thing about it was, i began messaging everyone at 11am in the morning, and my 3pm almost everyone was there, with stuff like bananas, chocolate, crabmeat, marshmellows, otar, satay, sausages, sotong balls and taiwan sausages, bought and prepared! gosh we are like super spontaneous la! maybe next time we can arrange our much awaited kayaking outing in less time. wahahahaz! *dreaming*

speaking of KAYAKING.. its been like bloody long since we last went! is it possible to go one day AFTER SCHOOL? that would be like super exciting! lolz.. can we can kayak in our school uniforms lei.. while wearing our booties! wad do u think, clams? =) i miss being in the open sea, riding the waves and smelling the salt. i miss rolling and everything about kayaking. clams and i are seeing who will be the faster person to slalom around the world, cos we're NOT willing to climb Mount Everest.. but lets get our 3 star first before anything yeah? =) lets get it before going rinjani! thats in june.. so lets get it in May bahh! wheeee!

This holidays has been chocked full of excitement, wonder and ODAC! whee hee!

Yesterday, we had a rough ride with some ODAC waves, but nothing we cant overcome I'm sure. It'll always be the SEVENTEEN of us.

And today, we went to Taiyong's house to surprise him (HAPPY HAPPY EIGHTEEN MONTFORT FOONG) with wonderful coffee cake and we spent an awesome Saturday morning watching Pokemon and I not Stupid and photos of Taiwei's batch and mushroomed head Taiyong. (:

Now, we are on Hazels soft and comfy bed, trying to work out whats going on for our first cca when school starts (We can hear the cheers!).

We're leaving on ~~jetplane~~t coach this time tomorrow! Now aint that exciting!

Oh yes, thanks to all our lovely juniors who actually wants to be back in ODAC. We're amazed and overwhelmed by your love for ODAC and we cant wait till you officially join us here. Honestly, we were the only cca where non-members (yet) was actually helping us t o promote. ((: Thanks guys, continue to be so awesome, and look forward to the first cca aye!

Its late, and our bags are packed (I assume), and we cant wait! ((: We'll be back soon, happier, stonger and better!

just a couple of days ago, we had a session with the j1s. although most of the j1s dun really appreciate bouldering yet (except for jiachang and a few others-can see his excited face when we said we were bouldering!), could say that the j1s did enjoy themselces ytd. Tried out a new thing yesterday, playing tic-tac-toe on the wall.. Sadly, the 'luckier' group of j1s in my group lost by a bit and kena sabo-ed by shenglong to do forfeit. hmm.. quite funny. did the banana dance with the stripping motion all thanks to changtai.. looking forward to wednesday's adventure race, where i believe the j1s will enjoy themselves even more. :)
